Bobbi Kristina Brown: Engaged to Adopted 'Brother'?
According to a report put out by People magazine on Friday (March 16), multiple sources are dishing details that Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina and her fresh new romance with her 'adopted' brother, Nick Gordon, may be taking a more serious turn.
Just after announcing their relationship via Twitter earlier this week, rumors are swirling that the pair may be engaged after Brown was spotted sporting a diamond ring on her engagement finger.
In the report, one source is saying, "Nick asked Krissi about a week ago to marry him" and that she's wearing a ring that once belonged to her mom. But the source doesn't know if Brown said yes," while another insider explains, "Yes, they are engaged, but the family is trying to coax her away from it."
The source also admits that the 19 year-old's grandmother, Cissy Houston, "is worried."
As previously reported by GossipCenter, this isn't the first concern her grandmother has had - but Miss Brown says it?s totally kosher, given that they?re not blood-related, adding that she doesn?t care what anyone has to say about it.

Will Beyonce Grace The Grammys Red Carpet?
Experts weigh in on when the new mom will make her next appearance, and when we might get to see Blue Ivy.

<P><a href="/news/articles/1678726/beyonce-post-baby-appearance-blue-ivy.jhtml">Beyoncé has already stepped out</a> not once but twice support of Jay-Z as he held two <a href="/news/articles/1678669/jay-z-carnegie-hall.jhtml">shows at Carnegie Hall</a> this week in New York City, and now her fans are wondering when and where the next great B sighting might be. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:732758" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>Will it be at the <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/grammys/">Grammy Awards</a> on Sunday? Or is she going to save it for when she reveals her <a href="/news/articles/1677033/blue-ivy-beyonce-jay-z-leaves-hospital.jhtml">daughter, Blue Ivy</a>, for the first time? </P><P> </P><P>"This option was typical Beyoncé. She isn't interested in getting paid to pose on a tabloid cover. It was a non-event," Huffington Post celebrity columnist Rob Shuter told MTV News about the first two <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/02/08/beyonce-photos-carnegie-hall-night-two/">Queen B sightings</a>. "She isn't one of those reality-type celebrities that turn up at everything just to be seen. Her next big moment will be when she walks a red carpet for a project she is involved in." </P><P> </P><P>With Beyoncé choosing to go a more low-key route this week, celebrity editor <a href="http://gossipdavid.com" target="_blank">David Caplan</a> notes that there's a good chance that she may walk the carpet this Sunday. She's up for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her Andre 3000-assisted <i>4</i> track, "Party," as well as Best Long Form Music Video for her "I Am ... World Tour" special. Jay-Z is also up for some prizes, including Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album for the work he did with Kanye West on "Otis" and <i>Watch the Throne.</i> </P><P> </P><P>"Going forward, I expect her next big reveal to be at a show like the Grammys, where she can really jazz it up with a gown, which people want to see," he noted. "I think we'll see Beyoncé gradually appear in more photos at events with Jay-Z as she seeks to get back into the groove. And once those baby photos are out, I wouldn't be surprised to see her out and about occasionally with Blue doing mommy-related tasks." </P><P> </P><P>So, how should we expect to see those first photos? "Since Beyoncé chose to make the reveal by simply stepping out, and letting the throngs of photographers waiting for her to have a field day by taking tons of photos, her reveal allowed every media outlet to run the photos and make the reveal themselves, as opposed to if Beyoncé made an exclusive first post-baby picture deal with a magazine like <i>People</i> or <i>Us</i> or a monthly magazine like <i>Vogue</i> or <i>Vanity Fair</i>," he said. </P><P> </P><P>"Stylistically, had she done a proper shoot with a magazine, the photos would have a much more top-notch quality to them, but when celebs do such photo shoots, they open themselves up to scrutiny since the public sometimes shuns on celebs who get paid for such photos, which happens, especially with the celebrity weeklies," he continued. "But the photos are great, and it's obvious she worked with at least one photo agency, since she posted very clear photos of herself on her website." </P><P> </P><P>And, since B has already been out and about, that ultimately affects the value of future pictures of her. "Now that the first pics of her post-baby have been revealed, the monetary value of subsequent photos of her — without her baby, of course — will be of course pricey," Caplan said. "But ultimately less in value since there's already a set out." </P><P>Well, whenever B decides to make her big red-carpet statement or introduce the world to Blue Ivy, she's certainly already floored her friends with her dazzling post-baby looks. "She looks fantastic. She looks fantastic. I told her she looks so hot!" <a href="/news/articles/1678927/beyonce-blue-ivy-appearance.jhtml">Kelly Rowland</a> exclaimed to MTV News this week. Justin Bieber Should 'Stay Strong,' Usher Says
'All of this comes with the territory,' Ush tells MTV News of paternity-suit drama.

<P><a href="/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> might not have known how big <a href="/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> would become when he discovered him a few years back, but he was pretty sure he had found something special. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:712878" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>Since Bieber burst on the scene with his <i>My World</i> EP back in 2009, the 17-year-old has grown up with the world watching. He's gone from up-and-comer to full-fledged pop sensation, racking up chart-topping albums and a box-office hit and becoming an all-around mega-heartthrob — all in two years. </P><P> </P><P>Of course, with the good does come negative attention as well. Recently, Bieber was hit with a <a href="/news/articles/1674509/justin-bieber-paternity-suit-dropped-2.jhtml">paternity lawsuit, which has since been dropped</a>. </P><P> </P><P>Usher, no stranger to his own controversies, had these words for the Biebs: "Stay strong. And know that all of this comes with the territory." </P><P> </P><P>Aside from the drama, Usher is especially proud of Bieber's charitable side. His mentor said he "absolutely" knew the kid from Stratford, Ontario, had a big heart from the start. </P><P> </P><P>"To write a check is only half of it, but when you truly take on a responsibility to be a philanthropist, you accept an effort, and I really think that Pencils of Promise is something that has a very bright future," <a href="/news/articles/1674628/justin-bieber-new-york-city.jhtml">Usher told MTV News at an event for the charity</a>, noting that Bieber is a only a small part of it. </P><P> </P><P>Usher — who appears on Bieber's new Christmas album, <a href="/news/articles/1673032/justin-bieber-usher-christmas-song.jhtml"><i>Under the Mistletoe</i></a> — gives credit to the folks surrounding the teen superstar, including manager Scooter Braun. "Just judging from the determination and the will power of the entire team around Justin, I see a very, very promising [future] for him as a philanthropist," Usher said.</p>

Dancing With The Stars Season 14: Early Favorites
Yes, folks, it’s almost that time. Your favorite dancing show and mine is set to premiere on Monday. My DVR has been programmed to record all season (in case I can’t watch it as it happens), my notepad is ready and I can’t wait to see who can shimmy and who can’t out on the dance floor. Are you ready? Let’s talk about some early favorites who could take home that mirrored ball trophy in May. It’s hard to believe that this will be Dancing With The Stars’ 14th season. Get ready for another sweet 16 celebration gone terrifyingly wrong with the premiere of "My Super Psycho Sweet 16 Part 3," airing tonight at 10 ET on MTV. The installment is the final chapter of the story of Skye Rotter (played by Lauren McKnight) and her slashtastic family past. MTV News recently caught up with McKnight, who made it clear that if she had it her way, she'd continue the original MTV slasher tale for years to come.
"I am actually extremely sad that this is the third and final installment of 'Super Pyscho,' " the 23-year old actress said. "I'd actually be really happy if we just kept making them every single year. I'd be totally fine with 'My Super Psycho Sweet 67.' That'd be cool with me. I love these film. I love working with everybody on the crew. The cast is amazing."
Asked what her favorite death scene in this film, McKnight remained tight-lipped, admitting she couldn't divulge much in fear of spoiling the film, but she did offer one clue.
"There's something to do with a sickle, and it's my favorite part," she said with a smile.
Much like the past two chapters in this trilogy, this installment of Psycho Sweet 16 is full of eeriness, as seen in an exclusive clip released Tuesday (March 13). Mid-thunderstorm, Skye and her gang of friends turn attention to their friend Brynn, who is standing drenched in what is presumably blood.
One lucky viewer who sits through the string of murders until the end will also snag tickets to the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. Visit the Psycho Sweet 16 Facebook page after the film to answer a few trivia questions and play your shot at the big winning.

Elizabeth Banks Is A 'Total Geek' Around 'Hunger Games' Author
'I've professed my love for her pretty much,' Banks tells MTV News of Suzanne Collins.

Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth — all names you'll want to stand up and applaud for when the credits roll on "The Hunger Games," no doubt. But if there's one person you'll really want to tip your hat to, it's Suzanne Collins.
Like J.K. Rowling with the "Harry Potter" series and Stephenie Meyer of "Twilight" fame, Collins is the novelist who dreamed Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne into existence. Without her, you wouldn't have a tribute to fight for. Without her, you wouldn't be on the cusp of what's sure to be 2012's biggest blockbuster so far.
Certainly, actress Elizabeth Banks identifies Collins as the great hero of the "Hunger Games" franchise. In fact, "hero" isn't a strong enough description — to Banks, Collins is a full-fledged rock star.
"To me, the biggest star here is Suzanne Collins," the actress and hard-core "Hunger Games" fan told MTV News about her feelings on the novel's author. "She created this entire world, all of this pandemonium, all these characters. She birthed this whole situation. She couldn't be a nicer lady. She's the loveliest lady, and I'm a total geek around her. To me, she's a total rock star."
Just as many fans would kill for the chance to spend time with the "Hunger Games" cast, so too did Banks swoon over getting one-on-one time in with Collins.
"I've professed my love for her pretty much," Banks laughed. "The books are done, and they're the books, so she doesn't need me to dissect them with her, but I'm very happy that she's happy with the film. So to me, it was always about, 'Let's make director Gary Ross happy with the film, let's make Suzanne happy. Everyone else, who cares.' "
Of course, Banks cares very much about the fans, a group she described as "unbelievable."
"The passion of everyone here is crazy. It's very exciting," said Banks. "I'm very excited to see this movie with an audience. I saw it in a small room with two other people, so the energy in the room is going to be ballistically bananas. I brought tissues. It's very emotional, this movie! I cried making it; It's very emotional for me."
If Banks is already emotional over "Hunger Games," she'll want to bring plenty of tissues with her for "Catching Fire," the planned sequel to the Collins-inspired movie. Though Banks wouldn't confirm a start date for "Catching Fire," she did tease a fashion item that she might end up wearing in the sequel.
"In the books, Effie appears at the Reaping in a green dress," she teased. "I did not wear the green dress in the movie. But we have it. It exists. So I think we'll break that one out in 'Catching Fire.' "

Russell Brand Arrested In Cell Phone Meltdown!
Maybe his recent sudden split from Katy Perry is having an even worse effect than we already thought because he seems to be losing his mind. Reports state that Brand was arrested after an incident with a photographer this week. A man was apparently trying to take pictures of the British comedian when he allegedly snatched the cell phone out of his hand and chucked it through a nearby window. The man got his phone back and Brand made a deal to pay for the window, but for whatever reason he still got arrested. TMZ wrote that authorities still decided to issue a warrant for him after the incident. He was apparently picked up today (Thursday) and is now in custody. It?s not very clear what charges he will be facing, I guess it could be for vandalism or maybe disturbing the peace, but I don?t think it will be too serious. The only annoying part is that he is in the middle of filming a movie in New Orleans that may have to be delayed a little bit. The funny thing is that I bet he won?t regret it at all. Justin Bieber Collabo 'Isn't Out Of The Question' For Carly Rae Jepsen
'Call Me Maybe' singer says working with Bieber has left her 'rejuvenated.'

Having been signed by Usher several years back, Justin wanted to keep the cycle of artist-empowerment alive with the rookie singer, who dropped her EP <i>Curiosity</i> last month. </P><P> </P><P>Much like her boss, Bieber, the 26-year-old Canadian caught everyone's attention as a YouTube star. "But for when that will come out, your guess is as good as mine, but hopefully soon. I like the song." </P><P> </P><P>"Call Me Maybe" is a sunny pop ditty about asking a cute boy out, and it seems to reflect what Jepsen says her music sounds like. "I would describe my sound as pop with a little bit of flower child-ness in it, a little flower pop," she said, adding that it has touches of folk. </P><P> </P><P>So, is Jepsen anything like that girl on her single? 'Hunger Games' Vs. 'Twilight': Muppets Edition
Kermit the Frog and new Muppet Walter join MTV News as co-hosts of this week's 'Talk Nerdy.'

Want a surefire way to cease all productivity in your workplace? Bring in the Muppets. It works every time.
Kermit the Frog and newly-minted man-of-a-Muppet Walter graced MTV News with their presence earlier this week, catching the attention of everyone passing through our newsroom at the time. As you might expect, the "Muppets" stars are quite the charming duo in real life. It's one thing to see their antics on the big screen; watching them come alive right before you, however, is another experience entirely. The effect they have on even the most serious of grown adults (though, admittedly, we don't have many of those around these parts) is astounding: Within seconds of laying eyes on Kermit and Walter, years of growth and maturity immediately fade away, leaving you in a temporary state of childlike wonder. In short, I fully recommend meeting Muppets if you ever have the chance.
Of course, Kermit and Walter weren't at MTV News headquarters purely out of the kindness of their hearts, kind though their hearts may be: They were here to promote "The Muppets," arriving on Blu-ray and DVD on March 20. We were happy to chat with them about the awesome home-video release — it has an intermission feature, everybody! An intermission feature! — but Kermit and Walter had more than just their own movie on their minds: They also wanted to talk about superheroes, vampires, deadly tournaments and more.

Beyonce And Jay-Z's Blue Ivy Trademark: An Expert Explains
Couple likely 'trying to protect what they rightfully own or created,' family law expert tells MTV News.

<P><a href="/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a> and <a href="/music/artist/jay_z/artist.jhtml">Jay-Z</a> have filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect their month-old baby's name and reserve it for future use, MTV News has confirmed. The superstar couple reportedly sought the trademark to stop the use of Blue Ivy's name by others. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:725377.id:1676907" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>It's a smart move, according to family law attorney and author <a href="http://www.vikkiziegler.com/" target="_blank">Vikki Ziegler</a>. "[Seeking the trademark] forestalls competitors from using the child's name and or third parties from attempting to sell the baby's name back to the couple," Ziegler told MTV News. "They are likely trying to protect what they rightfully own or created, shall we say, by trademarking Blue Ivy's name." </P><P> </P><P>The application to trademark Blue Ivy Carter's name, filed by BGK Trademark Holdings (Beyoncé's company) is currently pending but will likely be approved because, as the <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/reliable-source/post/blue-ivy-the-trademark-feds-move-fast-on-rights-to-beyonce-and-jay-zs-babys-name/2012/02/03/gIQAOTDGnQ_blog.html" target="_blank"><i>Washington Post</i></a> reports, parents are legally authorized to trademark the names of their minor children. </P><P> </P><P>"In essence, it's a trademark for a brand, and this brand is expected to be one hot commodity — just look at Blue Ivy's parents," Ziegler said. "Anyone else that tried to use the name after the trademark was approved could be sued and held liable for damages." </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:724613.id:1676907" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>While the Patent Office looks fondly on attempts to trademark the name of one's own child, attempts to do the same with the names of other people's kids are another story, as two designers learned when they sought — just days after Blue Ivy's birth — to trademark the baby's name for their own use. </P><P> </P><P>Applications from fashion designer Joseph Mbeh to patent "Blue Ivy Carter NYC" and by an unnamed designer to trademark "Blue Ivy Carter Glory IV" for a fragrance line were denied by the Patent Office, which noted in its decision that the name belonged to a "very famous infant" and consumers would wrongly assume that any products bearing the name had been approved by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. </P><P> </P><P>Ziegler noted that the trademark would "protect against others using the child's name as a brand of merchandise in the same marketplace," so it will not impact the "Blue Ivy" trademark held by a clothing boutique in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The store filed to trademark <i>its</i> name on January 19, 2011, a year before Queen B and Jay made the name famous. The latest version of the song is available for purchase and is all over blogs like <a href="http://www.rap-up.com/2011/12/12/new-music-kesha-f-wiz-khalifa-andre-3000-ti-lil-wayne-sleazy-remix/" target="_blank">Rap-Up.com</a>. The song gets a bit dirtier and introspective thanks to verses from the guys that play up the track's bumping beat. </P><P> </P><P>Wiz kicks it off, rapping about designer clothes and his lady love, Amber Rose. "OK, I'm young and I'm tatted/ I get them bucks like an addict/ Rocking this Christian Dior/ I spend so much on my fabric/ I got a wifey at home/ And what she wants she can have it," he spits before going on about chilling on the beach, being rich and his prowess in the bedroom. </P><P> </P><P>Sitting in between Wiz and Tip is Andre's recycled verse, before T.I. gets his shot and gets sexy, asking Ke$ha, "Do you know what to do with me?" before he launches into a verse all about how good he is to the ladies. "Bad bitches know me/ So don't bother introducing me/ They want me more than diamonds," he brags before explaining that it has a lot to do with his impressive anatomy. </P><P> </P><P>Wayne closes it out, adding his own signature flair. "We be on that sh-- that no one be on/ That's what we on/ Smoke that neon, Kings of Leon/ Dynamite, Napoleon/ Got some skinnies and a tee on/ And some Vans," he rhymes about his famous sense of Weezy-fied style before the song circles back to the funky chorus, where Ke$ha declares that she doesn't "need you or your brand-new Benz/ Or your bougie friends/ I don't need love lookin' like diamonds/ Lookin' like diamonds." </P><P> </P><P>If any of K's fans or critics were wondering if she has the swagger to chill with the guys, she displayed some of her sass when she <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/KESHASUXX" target="_blank">tweeted</a> about the remix. Hines Ward DUI Video Released
NFL star Hines Ward was arrested last year for suspected DUI and was super paranoid about it landing in the news. The video is pretty funny and actually kind of sad. He spends most of the video clip mumbling about how ESPN will find out, or about how the ?newspapers? will put the story on the front page. Will Beyonce Grace The Grammys Red Carpet?
Experts weigh in on when the new mom will make her next appearance, and when we might get to see Blue Ivy.

<P><a href="/news/articles/1678726/beyonce-post-baby-appearance-blue-ivy.jhtml">Beyoncé has already stepped out</a> not once but twice support of Jay-Z as he held two <a href="/news/articles/1678669/jay-z-carnegie-hall.jhtml">shows at Carnegie Hall</a> this week in New York City, and now her fans are wondering when and where the next great B sighting might be. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:732758" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>Will it be at the <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/grammys/">Grammy Awards</a> on Sunday? Or is she going to save it for when she reveals her <a href="/news/articles/1677033/blue-ivy-beyonce-jay-z-leaves-hospital.jhtml">daughter, Blue Ivy</a>, for the first time? </P><P> </P><P>"This option was typical Beyoncé. She isn't interested in getting paid to pose on a tabloid cover. It was a non-event," Huffington Post celebrity columnist Rob Shuter told MTV News about the first two <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/02/08/beyonce-photos-carnegie-hall-night-two/">Queen B sightings</a>. "She isn't one of those reality-type celebrities that turn up at everything just to be seen. Her next big moment will be when she walks a red carpet for a project she is involved in." </P><P> </P><P>With Beyoncé choosing to go a more low-key route this week, celebrity editor <a href="http://gossipdavid.com" target="_blank">David Caplan</a> notes that there's a good chance that she may walk the carpet this Sunday. She's up for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her Andre 3000-assisted <i>4</i> track, "Party," as well as Best Long Form Music Video for her "I Am ... World Tour" special. Jay-Z is also up for some prizes, including Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album for the work he did with Kanye West on "Otis" and <i>Watch the Throne.</i> </P><P> </P><P>"Going forward, I expect her next big reveal to be at a show like the Grammys, where she can really jazz it up with a gown, which people want to see," he noted. "I think we'll see Beyoncé gradually appear in more photos at events with Jay-Z as she seeks to get back into the groove. And once those baby photos are out, I wouldn't be surprised to see her out and about occasionally with Blue doing mommy-related tasks." </P><P> </P><P>So, how should we expect to see those first photos? "Since Beyoncé chose to make the reveal by simply stepping out, and letting the throngs of photographers waiting for her to have a field day by taking tons of photos, her reveal allowed every media outlet to run the photos and make the reveal themselves, as opposed to if Beyoncé made an exclusive first post-baby picture deal with a magazine like <i>People</i> or <i>Us</i> or a monthly magazine like <i>Vogue</i> or <i>Vanity Fair</i>," he said. </P><P> </P><P>"Stylistically, had she done a proper shoot with a magazine, the photos would have a much more top-notch quality to them, but when celebs do such photo shoots, they open themselves up to scrutiny since the public sometimes shuns on celebs who get paid for such photos, which happens, especially with the celebrity weeklies," he continued. "But the photos are great, and it's obvious she worked with at least one photo agency, since she posted very clear photos of herself on her website." </P><P> </P><P>And, since B has already been out and about, that ultimately affects the value of future pictures of her. "Now that the first pics of her post-baby have been revealed, the monetary value of subsequent photos of her — without her baby, of course — will be of course pricey," Caplan said. "But ultimately less in value since there's already a set out." </P><P>Well, whenever B decides to make her big red-carpet statement or introduce the world to Blue Ivy, she's certainly already floored her friends with her dazzling post-baby looks. "She looks fantastic. She looks fantastic. I told her she looks so hot!" <a href="/news/articles/1678927/beyonce-blue-ivy-appearance.jhtml">Kelly Rowland</a> exclaimed to MTV News this week. Lady Gaga Enlists Oprah Winfrey For Foundation Launch

<P>When <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> officially launches her <a href="/news/articles/1677562/lady-gaga-born-this-way-foundation.jhtml">Born This Way Foundation</a> on February 29, she'll be joined by the one-time queen of daytime TV, Oprah Winfrey. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:683376.id:1669247" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>The singer and former talk-show host will be joined by Mother Monster's own mother, Cynthia Germanotta, at the Harvard University event to kick off the foundation, which aims to inspire young people. The affair will be captured for a future episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" on her OWN network. </P><P> </P><P>"My mother and I have initiated a passion project. We call it the <a href="/news/articles/1673633/lady-gaga-born-this-way-foundation.jhtml">Born This Way Foundation</a>," Gaga said in a statement last November about the foundation, which takes its name from her hit single and album. "Together we hope to establish a standard of Bravery and Kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment." </P><P> </P><P>The foundation will work with a number of partners, including the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the California Endowment and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. According to the statement, the foundation will focus on "youth empowerment and equality by addressing issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development and will utilize digital mobilization as one of the means to create positive change." </P><P> </P><P>"My daughter's foundation was born out of her passion to create a better world where people are kinder and nicer to one another and are accepted for who they are, regardless of how different they may be," Mama Germanotta said. "She has experienced many of the struggles that our youth encounter today, and identifies with the lasting effects they can have without proper support. Together, we look forward to creating a new movement that will engage and empower youth and accept them as valuable members of our society."</p>
